What is Chug Do Kwan?

The history of Tae Kwon Do is anything but clear. There are many styles of Tae Kwon Do which developed with influences from China, India and Japan. There is the Official version of Tae Kwon Do which has been sanctioned by the government of Korea, and the art has changed greatly since its inception as an Olympic sport.

Chung Do Kwan is a style of Tae Kwan Do which was heavily influenced by Japanese Shotokan Karate. Korean Tae Kwon Do practitioners who trained with the military in Japan took their new techniques and combined them with their Tae Kwon Do, to come up with something new.

Chung Do Kwan place particular emphasis on forms and discipline, while retaining the original tenets of Tae Kown Do.
